Create a Model

Follow these steps to create a new UML model:

  1. Open Axminster.

  2. Choose File > New.

  3. Add elements and diagrams to the model (see Add Elements to a Model and Create a Diagram).

  4. Choose File > Save, then choose a name and location for the model.

Axminster saves models as XMI 2.5.1 documents with the .xmi extension, so you can exchange them with other UML tools that read XMI. To open an existing model, choose File > Open, or drag an .xmi file to the app’s Dock icon.
