Add Elements to a Model

Follow these steps to add an element, such as a class, to a model:

  1. Open the model in Axminster.

  2. Choose an item from the Element menu, for example Element > Add Class.

  3. Enter a name for the new element.

  4. Click “OK”.

Axminster adds the element to the model, and shows it in the model’s sidebar and in each diagram that displays elements of its kind.

To add an attribute, operation, or literal, first select the class or enumeration that owns it, then choose Element > Add Attribute, Element > Add Operation, or Element > Add Literal.

To relate two elements, select them and choose an item from the Relationship menu, for example Relationship > Add Association or Relationship > Add Generalization.

To rename or remove an element, select it and choose Element > Rename Element or Element > Delete Element.
